Both walks will start and finish at Wingfield Barns with access to hot/cold drinks/snacks available to purchase in The Barn shop, and access to toilets.

Saturday 19th September – Two Heritage History Walks A gentle journey through local heritage Short 10am & Long 2pm Short Accessible Walk exploring key historical points. Distance: Up to 3 miles Difficulty: Easy, accessible, suitable for most abilities Duration: Approximately 1–1.5 hours Start: 10am This guided shorter walk is designed for comfort and inclusivity, following level paths and well-maintained routes. Along the way, we’ll pause at key historical points— traditional buildings, and places where everyday life from centuries past still leaves its mark. Expect: Fascinating bite-sized stories, easy terrain with regular stopping points, a relaxed pace perfect for families, casual walkers, and anyone curious about local history without the hills Longer Heritage Walk; A deeper exploration of landscape and legacy. Distance: Up to 6 miles Difficulty: Moderate, steady walking with varied terrain Duration: Approximately 2.5–3 hours Start: 2pm For those who enjoy stretching their legs, this extended route offers a richer dive into the area’s past. We’ll venture further into the surrounding countryside, uncovering ancient pathways, forgotten boundaries, and tales of the people who lived, worked, and travelled here over the centuries.
