Mission Statement

- Why we are here -
Events, Theatre, Arts Venue and Community Hub -
Wingfield Barns is a 16th-century barn with an expansive and fascinating history, now serving as a vibrant space for the local community. In 2009, we re-opened as a Community Interest Company (CIC) with a renewed purpose: to serve as a community-focused organisation dedicated to supporting the arts and local initiatives.

We host a wide range of regular events, including theatre performances, live music concerts, art exhibitions, creative workshops, classic cinema screenings, and community-led activities. These include the ‘Rural Coffee Caravan’, a community shop, regular quiz nights, and our popular Christmas Market. Our spaces are also used by theatre groups for rehearsals, and we host conferences, workshops, classes, private events, and weddings. Wedding information can be found in the 'Join us' Tab.

Our mission is to provide high-quality facilities that enable creative and community-based projects to thrive and to offer a welcoming space for the local community to enjoy.
